♦ قدیمیترین اکوسیستم بسته جهان
یک باغ در یک بطری که توسط دیوید لاتیمر در ۱۹۶۰ کاشته شده و آخرین بار در ۱۹۷۲ به اون آب دادن و بعد درش رو محکم بستن تا اکوسیستم به همون شکلی که هست حفظ بشه. هدف این بوده که ببینن این اکوسیستم تا کی دوام می یاره ولی هیچ کس انتظار ۵۳ سال رو نداشته! تنها عنصر بیرونی این اکوسیستم، نور است و بقیه چیزها بر عهده رطوبت و گیاهها و خاک و هوا و باکتریهای درون بطری گذاشته شده.
